Instrument Care
Brass Care
Tubby time - every two weeks if possible
Clean Tub before filling
Fill with LUKE WARM ( NOT HOT ) water and add gentle detergent. Avoid grease cutters
Pull all the slide and Valves and soak for 10-15 minutes
Clean Small slides and valves
Run a snake through the body
Set on a soft cloth and let air dry
Put small amounts of grease on slides
Put small amount of oil on valves
Use a furniture or car polish on the lacquer
Vacuum the case
Do not put music or papers, or anything else in the case.
Woodwind Care
DO NOT PUT IN LIQUID .....EVER
Swab the inside from biggest to smallest
Use a smaller swab on the sax for the neck
If the swab gets stuck DO NOT pull it through use a pencil or stick to gently push it back
Take reed off the mouthpiece and put in its case
Wipe off the mouthpiece. This can be washed.
If there is a white build up, soak the end in white vinegar, try to keep off the cork.
Wipe the the instrument's outside , use furniture or car polish lightly to protect the outside

Do not put music or papers, or anything else in the case.
PERCUSSION
Take out lugs and pull the head off.
Use a gentle spray detergent to clean the head and inside and outside of drum.
Wipe off lugs and coat gently with grease.
Put band together and tune
